Annika Derner has a diverse work experience spanning more than two decades. Annika began their career at Propeller in 1999, where they worked as a creative copywriter on strategic projects for clients such as Renova and Coloplast. Annika then moved on to Derner Kommunikation, where they freelanced for various advertising agencies and clients including Riksbyggen and Fjällräven.

In 2002, Annika joined ibiz reklambyrå as a creative copywriter, taking the lead on projects and working with clients like Varbergs Stadshotell Asia Spa and Fuji Foto. Annika later transitioned to Stendahls, a larger agency, where they worked on campaigns for Volvo Cars and Ellos. During their time with Stendahls, Annika gained experience working in various channels and handling large budgets.

With a desire for entrepreneurship, Annika started their own company, Derner Advertising, in 2010. Annika specialized in lifestyle and consumer-focused projects for clients such as FordCredit and Gourmetgruppen. After five years, they joined Forever Living Products Scandinavia AB as a creative copywriter, creating content for their wellness and beauty products.

In 2016, Annika became a senior copywriter at KappAhl, where they worked for two years as the head copywriter and contributed to all marketing communications for the Scandinavian retail chain. Annika then joined Change the Agency in 2018, working extensively on integrated marketing projects and gaining experience in retail, fast-moving consumer goods, and omnichannel campaigns.

Currently, Annika is employed at Oddwork as a senior copywriter and creative director, bringing their wealth of experience to guide and coach the team, as well as develop creative strategies for clients.

Throughout their career, Annika has showcased their creativity, strategic thinking, and ability to work with diverse clients and projects.

Annika Derner's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus on International Marketing from the University of Gothenburg, which they obtained from 1988 to 1991. Annika also obtained a diploma in fashion design, pattern, and garment construction from Bangkok Fashion & Art in 2013. In addition, Annika completed a two-year online diploma in fashion design from Style Design College, Milano from 2014 to 2016.

Furthermore, Annika pursued a copywriting program at IHM Business School from 1997 to 1999, where they studied copywriting, communication, creation, and advertising. Annika also completed a graphic design course through Forsbergs Skola, which was a distance course, in 1996-1997.

Apart from formal education, Annika has obtained various certifications. These include "Engagement & Nuture Marketing Strategies," "The Importance of Listening," "What is Social?" from Coursera, which they obtained in May 2020. Annika also completed a course in "Design Thinking for Innovation" from Coursera in July 2019.
