Virginia Costa

Virginia Costa is a specialist in Internal Medicine and Hematology, currently serving as the Coordinator of the Hematology Service at Asociación Española Primera de Socorros Mutuos and as a Consultant in Hematology at the Dirección Nacional de Sanidad de las FFAA. From 1992 to 2008, Virginia was an Adjunct Professor at the Universidad de la República, progressing through various roles in clinical education and assistance. Virginia held the position of Head of the Hematology Service at Hospital Central de las FFAA from 1991 to 2022, and served as President of the Sociedad de Hematología del Uruguay from 2021 to 2023. With a Master's degree in Health Management and a Diploma in University Teaching, Virginia continues to contribute to the field through clinical practice, education, and research.
