Tim York

Tim York is a seasoned optical engineer with extensive experience in optical system design and prototyping. Currently serving as a Senior Optical Engineer at Adlens since May 2018, Tim has previously contributed as a contract optical engineer at Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd, focusing on the design and construction of optical systems for earth-viewing satellite telescopes. Prior roles include contract optical engineer positions at ESL Defence Limited and Cobalt Light Systems, where responsibilities involved optical system design and the manufacture of Raman spectrometers. Tim's career began as an optical engineer at Honeywell from 2008 to 2011. Tim holds a PhD in Optics/Optical Materials from UCL and a degree from the University of Sussex.
