David Torres

David Torres serves as the Senior Vice President of Downstream Technology and Innovation at ADNOC Group since January 2023. Prior to this role, David held various senior positions at Shell from 2008 to 2021, including Chief Engineer for Research & Development, where strategic direction and technical standards for the R&D community were established. As Vice President of Integrated Gas and CO2 Abatement Technology, David led significant technology initiatives across multiple regions, managing a substantial budget and developing multi-billion-dollar projects. Additional roles at Shell included Global Manager of Chemicals Technology, where overall technical assurance was directed, and Vice President of CO2 Program Delivery, focused on corporate CO2 risk management. David contributed to the Infineum Board of Directors from 2014 to 2016, representing Shell's interests. Academic credentials include a BS in Chemical Engineering from The University of New Mexico and executive education from Wharton, Tsinghua University, and the University of Houston.
