Javier Castillo

Javier Castillo has a diverse and extensive work experience. Javier started their career as the Regional Manager & Legal Representative for Papa John's International, where they successfully initiated and managed operations in multiple countries, achieving significant sales and EBITDA growth. Javier then worked as the General Manager for Whirlpool Corporation, where they were responsible for overall operations, financial management, and customer service improvements. Castillo also held various leadership roles at Payless ShoeSource, including Managing Director for Central America and General Manager & Legal Representative for Guatemala, where they received several awards for their achievements. Javier co-founded Compra Casa en Guate and founded Vita Rem S.A. Castillo served as the Vice President, Dean School of Business, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Universidad San Pablo de Guatemala, contributing to the development of various programs and researching entrepreneurship and strategic leadership. Currently, they are the CEO of Empresas ADOC SA de CV, overseeing multiple renowned brands in the footwear and accessories industry.

Javier Castillo holds a Bachelor of Science and Licenciatura in Management of Information Systems from Universidad Francisco Marroquín. Javier also obtained a Master of Science in Reliability and Business Administration from the same university. Furthermore, they have completed a Chief Executive Officer Blended Program at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, specializing in Human Capital, M&A, International Growth, Strategy, Financing, and Organizational Change. Javier has also pursued higher education at Florida International University - College of Business, earning a Master of Business Administration with distinction in International Business and General Management. Additionally, they have obtained multiple certifications, including Certified Operating Partner, Certified Trainer, and Quality Control Center Operator from Papa John's International, as well as Certified Operator from Jimmy John's and International Restaurant Management Group. Javier Castillo is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration with distinction in Strategic Leadership, International Marketing Management, and Performance Management from SMC University.
