The idea of Charity Taxi was created at the time of the refugee crisis in 2015 in Budapest, when the huge support provided by the citizens highlighted the potential of involvement in providing social support for those in need. We got inspired to connect the people living in Budapest, - and the untapped resources with the needs of the people living in the country’s most underdeveloped settlements and villages. The organization is more than social service, it connects people from both sides to create opportunity to meet and initiate real dialogue between people with different background. Since it start Adomanytaxi reached 2000 households in Budapest and supported 75 villages with the help of 600 volunteers.
