Chris Johnston

Chris Johnston has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors and roles. In 2001, they interned at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and also worked as a Consulting Associate at PwC Consulting - People & Organization. From 2003 to 2006, they were in the Public Affairs Department at the University of Ulster. Chris then served as the Office Manager at the Washington Ireland Program in 2003. Chris joined MCE in 2006, working as a Client Director and later becoming a Director. In 2010, they joined the British Council Transatlantic Network 2020 as a Fellow, working on collaborative projects between young North Americans and Europeans. In the same year, they also founded and became the CEO of Adoreboard. In 2011, Chris became a Fellow at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and a member of the Young Atlanticist Working Group at the Atlantic Council of the United States. Their roles at the Young Atlanticist Working Group involved connecting emerging leaders and promoting solutions to global issues.

In 1999, Chris began attending Ulster University and completed their BA Hons Business Studies program. During this time, Chris also obtained a diploma in Industrial Studies.

In 2001-2002, Chris studied at Montana State University-Bozeman in the Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship, focusing on a Business Scholarship.

In 2008, Chris attended the Harvard Kennedy School and participated in the Executive Leadership Programme known as the Leaders for Tomorrow Programme.

Most recently, in 2022, Chris enrolled in and completed the MITEDP Program at the MIT Sloan School of Management.

In addition to their formal education, Chris has obtained certifications. In 2011, Chris became an Accredited Public Relations Practitioner through the CIPR. They also obtained an A.N.E.A - Public Speaking Teaching Diploma from the New Era Academy of Drama and Music, although the specific date of completion is unknown.
