Shira A. Scheindlin

The Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin is an accomplished arbitrator, mediator, and special master who currently serves as Of Counsel at Boies Schiller Flexner LLP. With over four decades of experience, they were appointed by President Bill Clinton as a federal judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, serving 22 years. Judge Scheindlin also held significant roles including General Counsel for the New York City Department of Investigation and Deputy Chief of the Economic Crimes Unit in the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In addition to their legal practice, they are an active educator, teaching at several law schools, and remain engaged in arbitration and mediation through various esteemed platforms.
