Benjamin Harlan is a seasoned researcher currently serving as a Research Scientist at ADRx, Inc. since April 2022. Prior to this, Benjamin was a Postdoctoral Researcher at UC Irvine from August 2019 to May 2022, focusing on the bioenergetics of adult hippocampal neurons in Alzheimer’s disease. Earlier experiences include a role as a Graduate Student at the Medical University of South Carolina from January 2010 to July 2019, where Benjamin researched the role of NAD in central nervous system cells related to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), and as a Research Specialist, performing various electrophysiological recordings. Benjamin's initial scientific experience was as a Scientist at IRIX Pharmaceuticals from May 2005 to May 2006, where hands-on laboratory techniques were employed. Academic credentials include a PhD in Neuropharmacology from the Medical University of South Carolina, obtained in 2019, along with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Wofford College.
