Ed Waldner

Ed Waldner is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in software development, particularly focused on embedded firmware and C++ object-oriented design. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Adtran since October 2022, following the merger with ADVA, Waldner has a demonstrated history of working on FPGA driver layers for Xilinx Zynq Ultrascale+ MPSoCs, employing tools like GIT, SVN, Jenkins, and various scripting languages. Prior experience includes roles at ADVA where responsibilities involved both principal and senior positions in embedded software development for communication processors, as well as management in configuration management and software quality assurance at Dispersive Technologies Inc. Waldner's career spans over two decades and includes contributions to optical networking and embedded systems across multiple esteemed companies, starting from positions at Nortel Networks and Scientific Atlanta.
