John Johnston holds a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering and an MSc in Energy, Renewable Energy. Currently serving as Commissioning Manager at Equinor since January 2023, John has previously held key roles at Equinor, including Repair & Life Extension Lead and Mechanical / Rotating Equipment & HVAC Technical Authority from August 2021 to January 2024. Prior experience includes significant positions at Tengizchevroil, Eni Norge AS, Statoil, and BP, where John demonstrated strong leadership and technical expertise in commissioning, construction, and engineering across various high-profile oil and gas projects in locations such as Kazakhstan and South Korea. Additionally, John is currently engaged at Adura, a joint venture between Equinor and Shell, as Commissioning / Offshore Completion Manager.
