Julia Richards has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Julia began their career as a Project Lead at the Center for Sustainability in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a GIS Intern at FATMAP, a Project Intern at USGBC Colorado, and a GIS Project Consultant at A Little Help (ALH). Julia also interned at the Thai Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in 2015. In 2016, they worked as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst at the U.S. Department of the Interior. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Sustainability Coordinator at DaVita Kidney Care. During this time, they also worked as a Course Coordinator at Silverton Avalanche School. In 2021, they began working as a Software Engineer II and then a Software Engineer at Advanced Agrilytics.
Julia Richards recently completed a Full Stack Software Development program at App Academy in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a minor in GIS from the University of Denver in 2016. In 2014-2015, they attended the International Sustainable Development Studies Institute to study Sustainable Development. In 2018, Julia earned a Coursera Course Certificate in R Programming. Additionally, they have obtained LEED AP O+M and LEED Green Associate certifications from Green Business Certification, Inc. and USGBC, respectively.
