Hector Silva

Hector Silva is a design educator and founder/executive director of Advanced Design. They have over ten years of teaching experience at acclaimed industrial design programs, including the University of Illinois at Chicago, University of Notre Dame, Rochester Institute of Technology, Academy of Art University, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. They were named Young Educator of the Year by the Industrial Designers Society of America and earned a Special Achievement Award from IDSA for advancing design education. They currently serve as Visiting Professor at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Visiting Lecturer at the Academy of Art University, and lead Offsite, an online design school, while also acting as a design consultant through H Design.
