Al Loper is currently the Corp. VP of Silicon Design Engineering at AMD, a position held since 2025. Prior to this, Al served as VP and General Manager of the Advanced Architecture Development Group at Intel Corporation from 2021 to 2024. Al's extensive experience includes over two decades at Centaur Technology, where they were both a Senior Engineer and President. Al began their career as an Engineer at IBM from 1988 to 1995 and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MS in Computer Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
