Alan Pye

Alan Pye is the CIO & Corporate VP at AMD. Alan was previously the CIO/GM Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) IT at Intel Corporation from January 2016 to June 2017. Alan was responsible for the technical and organizational IT integration into Intel Corp. Alan also partnered with the Intel CIO to define and execute the integration philosophy, migrated Altera IT systems, services and processes to Intel architecture, security and funding standards, and retired redundant and legacy systems.

Pye began their career as an IT Manager and IT Applications Developer at GEC Alsthom Metro Cammell from January 1995 to December 1997. Alan then became a Senior Software Developer at CHA Computer Solutions from January 1995 to December 1995. In October 1997, they became the VP & Chief Information Officer at Altera where they worked until December 2015.

Alan Pye has a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Coventry University and a Master's degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Warwick - Warwick Business School. Alan also has a certification from the IEE - Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (UK) in Chartered Engineer (CEng).

A direct report to Alan Pye is and Derek Hardy - CISO. They work with Nazar Zaidi - SVP, Cores, Server SoC Systems IP Engineering, Technology and Engineering, Andrej Zdravkovic - SVP, Software Development, and Forrest Norrod - SVP & GM Datacenter and Embedded Solutions BG. Alan Pye reports to Mark Papermaster, CTO & EVP, Technology and Engineering.
