Brian Cherkauer

Brian Cherkauer is a Principal Member of Technical Staff at AMD, specializing in power management for integrated circuits. With extensive experience in power architecture, estimation, reduction, verification, and thermal management, Brian has contributed to CPU and SoC projects from feature definition through post-silicon validation. Prior to this role at AMD, Brian worked at Intel Corporation in various positions focused on low power design, power management, and thermal validation between 1995 and 2014. Brian earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Rochester.
