Cathal McCabe

Cathal McCabe is currently the AMD University Program Director for the Americas, EMEA, and India, where they help universities enhance teaching and research through AMD technologies. Previously, Cathal held roles at AMD as the University Program Manager for EMEA and worked at Xilinx as the University Program Manager for the same region from 2013 to 2022. Prior to that, Cathal served as a Senior Engineer at STFC from 2006 to 2013, focusing on FPGA and high-level synthesis. Cathal began their career at STFC as an Engineer from 2004 to 2006, providing training and support in FPGA design flows. They earned an MEng in Electronic Engineering from Queen's University Belfast in 2004.
