Dave Brown

Dave Brown currently serves as the Director of Silicon Design at AMD, focusing on I/O Architecture, PCIe, and XGMI since November 2023. Prior to AMD, Dave held the position of Director of System Architecture and Validation at Renesas Electronics from March 2019 to August 2023, where responsibilities included managing architecture and validation teams, developing product requirements for PCI express Gen 5 Retimer, and overseeing high-speed SerDes validation. Dave's extensive experience also includes a long tenure at Integrated Device Technology as Director of Technical Staff and System Architect, contributing to product definitions and system architectures for PCIe and other technologies. Dave began a career in technology as a Senior Design Manager at Potentia and advanced through roles at MOSAID and Nortel, emphasizing architecture management and standards development. Dave holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
