David Kaplan

Senior Fellow

David Kaplan is a Senior Fellow at AMD, focusing on the development of new security technologies as part of the Security Architecture Research and Development center. They are the lead architect for AMD's memory encryption features, including Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV), and have worked on CPU and SOC level security features for over a decade. With more than 16 years at AMD, David has filed over 50 patents and has presented at prominent events such as Linux Security Summit and ISCA. Prior to this, they served as a Principal Member of the Technical Staff at AMD, working on next-gen security architectures and low power CPU designs. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
