Greg Young is an experienced engineering professional specializing in design-for-test (DFT) methodologies. Currently serving as a Senior Member Technical Staff at AMD since April 2010, Greg has contributed to the design and implementation of DFT for CPU cores and semi-custom products. In addition to work at AMD, Greg has held the position of Director of Operations at BEST Robotics, Inc. since January 2013, overseeing a non-profit organization focused on robotics competitions for middle and high school students. Since 2001, Greg has directed Capitol BEST Robotics, a 501c3 nonprofit aimed at inspiring students toward STEM careers. Prior to these roles, Greg worked at Freescale Semiconductor, Raytheon Systems Company, and Texas Instruments, where extensive experience was gained in DFT processes, architecture, and implementation for various embedded core platforms and ASIC designs. Greg earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University in 1985.
