John Alsop is a computer architecture researcher at AMD, where they have been a Senior Engineer and a Member of the Technical Staff since 2018 and 2021, respectively. Previously, John worked as a student worker at the UW-Madison Computer Systems Lab and as a software engineering co-op at INO Therapeutics, where they developed medical device software. John earned a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and holds a BS in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Additionally, they spent time as an exchange student at the Technical University of Munich.
