John Isakson

John Isakson is a Physical Design Engineer at AMD, where they have been working since 2022 as a PMTS Silicon Design Engineer. Prior to this role, John spent 24 years at IBM as a Circuit Design Engineer, supervising design teams and conducting hands-on design work on significant projects including Power4, Power5, and System Z. John also worked as a Design Engineer at Motorola from 1996 to 1998. They hold a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
