Mark Nicol

Mark Nicol is a retired Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), where they focused on FPGA design and HyperTransport technology from 2008 until their retirement in 2022. Prior to this role, Mark was a Hardware Design Engineer at Zenith Data Systems, contributing to the design of 386 and 486 generation motherboards from 1987 to 1995. Mark also held positions at AMD earlier in their career, serving as a Member of Technical Staff and a Senior Design Engineer from 1995 to 2002. Mark began their engineering journey as an Engineering Assistant at Zenith Data Systems from 1980 to 1987, where they engaged in PCB prototyping and schematic capture.
