Michael Steffen

Michael Steffen is an AMD Fellow and MI SOC Architect with extensive experience in GPU architecture performance analysis and test planning for new architectures. They excel in application performance verification and feature validation on pre-silicon simulators, emulation, and silicon bring-up hardware. Previously, Michael held positions at NVIDIA and Caterpillar Inc., where they contributed as a Computer Architect and intern, respectively. Michael earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and dual bachelor's degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University.
