Mike Schmit

Mike Schmit has extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in the fields of computer vision, 360 VR video, and machine learning. Currently serving as Director of Software Engineering at AMD since 2006, Mike has held various leadership positions including Sr Manager and Manager roles focusing on digital video software. Prior experience includes positions at ATI, Zoran, and Lockheed Missiles and Space, where Mike contributed as a manager and engineer. Mike's entrepreneurial background includes serving as President of Quantasm and participation on the Board of Directors for the Software Entrepreneurs' Forum. An alumnus of the United States Naval Academy, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Nuclear and Computer Science.
