Minglei

Minglei Ma is a Photonic Design Engineer currently working as a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) at AMD since 2025. Previously, Minglei held positions as a Senior Photonic IC Design Engineer at Alphawave Semi from 2022 to 2024, and as a Photonic Systems Engineer at Ciena from 2020 to 2022. Minglei began their career as a Photonics Engineer Intern at RANOVUS Inc. in 2018. Their academic background includes a Ph.D. from The University of British Columbia, combined with a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from Beihang University and Xidian University, respectively. Minglei also served as a Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia from 2015 to 2017 and worked as a Research Assistant in Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2014 to 2020.
