Rip Sohan

Rip Sohan is an Engineering Fellow at AMD, specializing in SmartNIC architecture and high-performance networking systems. They have extensive experience designing end-to-end system architectures across hardware and software, having previously served as a System Architect at Xilinx and a Chief Architect in the CTO group at Solarflare Communications. Rip held a Senior Research Associate position at the University of Cambridge, where they mentored numerous students and led research projects in reproducible computing. They earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge and have co-founded two startups while contributing to multiple academic and industry collaborations.
