Roger Tipley

Roger Tipley is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and leadership roles within the technology sector. Currently serving as a Commercial System Architect at AMD since March 2021, Tipley leads the execution and delivery of client products for the commercial market. Concurrently, Tipley chairs the Client Efficiency Committee within the International Standards Group of the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation, focusing on developing standardized client benchmarks. Previously, Tipley held numerous influential positions, including Vice President at Schneider Electric, where strategic guidance on international standards and government regulations was provided, and President of The Green Grid Association, advocating for resource efficiency in IT. In earlier roles, Tipley contributed significantly to server architecture at Hewlett-Packard and Compaq and was instrumental in the design of the original PCI Bus protocol. Educationally, Tipley holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Oregon State University and was valedictorian at Blaine High School.
