Syed Z. has worked in the electronics industry since 2007. Syed began their career as an Electronics Diagnostic Technician at Acer, before moving to Allied Biotech Australia Pty Ltd in 2013, where they worked as a Field Service Engineer. In 2014, they joined Pivotal Point Ltd as an Electronics Diagnostic Technician, and in 2019, they began working at Advanced Navigation as a Product Assembly Technician.

Syed Z. has a long educational history. Syed obtained their Master's degree in Electronics from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad between 1987 and 1988. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore between 1985 and 1987. Syed also holds a Diploma in Electronics from the Board of Technical Education, Lahore.
