Mike Beavin is the Space Policy & Government Relations Advisor at Advanced Space. Mike has over 15 years of experience in the field of space policy.
Beavin began their career as a Senior Space Policy Analyst at the Department of Commerce, NOAA. Mike then transitioned to the U.S. House of Representatives, where they served as a Professional Staff Member on the Committee on Science, Space & Technology. In 2015, they took on a Detail Assignment at the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science & Transportation.
After their time in Congress, Beavin moved to the Executive Branch, serving as the Director of Commercial Space Policy at The White House and then as Senior Advisor for Industry Affairs and Outreach at the Federal Aviation Administration.
Most recently, Beavin served as Senior Policy Advisor at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Mike is now using their expertise to advise Advanced Space on government relations and policy matters.
Mike Beavin has a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Science/Professional Pilot from Bowling Green State University. Mike also has a certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in FAA Commercial Pilot License.
