Dr. Soyeon Yi, South Korea's first astronaut, is a pioneer in space exploration and a dedicated advocate for STEM education. Holding a Bachelor's and Master's in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Ph.D. in Bio and Brain Engineering from KAIST, Dr. Yi later earned an MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. After a historic mission to the International Space Station in 2008, where significant experiments contributed to South Korean science curricula, Dr. Yi has continued to inspire future innovators through public speaking and various leadership roles, including as a faculty member at the International Space University. Currently, Dr. Yi is the Founder and Director of MCA-X, LLC, and actively engages in strategic partnerships and advisory roles across multiple organizations.
