Geoff Hansen started their work experience in 1993 as an Economist at Bank of Canada, where they worked until 1997. In 1997, they joined Advanis and held various roles, including Executive Vice President, Information Technology and Field Services. During their time at Advanis, Geoff was responsible for managing staff, leading software development projects, and developing expertise in new technologies for the market research industry. Geoff played a key role in the development of a multimodal data collection system and revolutionized the industry's approach to surveying and reporting.
Geoff Hansen has a strong background in both economics and computer science. Geoff obtained their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from Carleton University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina, where they attended from 1989 to 1993.
In addition to their formal education, Geoff Hansen has also pursued additional certifications to further expand their knowledge. Geoff obtained a certification in Machine Learning Regression from the University of Washington in March 2017, and a certification in Machine Learning Foundations: A Case Study Approach from the same institution in October 2016.
