Gary Botha

Gary Botha is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong background in various roles spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Technical Director at AdvantageNZ since January 2025 and Cyber Resilience Lead at Southern Cross Health Society since July 2023, Gary has previously worked as a Cyber Security Consultant at AdvantageNZ from November 2021 to June 2023. Prior experience includes multiple positions at FNB South Africa, such as Enterprise Security Architect and Threat Intelligence Manager, and leadership roles at Prism Payment Technologies and Electronic Data Systems. Gary holds a Master's degree in Computer and Information Systems Security from Charles Sturt University.
