Peter Emery

Peter Emery is a retired Chief Executive at Electricity North West, with an extensive career in the energy sector. They served as Group Operations Director at Drax Group from 2004 to 2015, where they played a crucial role in the IPO and led several initiatives aimed at reducing carbon emissions. Emery spent two decades at ExxonMobil, specializing in strategic planning and refinery operations across the UK and the USA. Currently, they hold multiple positions, including Non Executive Director at enfinium and Independent Chair at the Energy Innovation Agency and the Greater Manchester Strategic Infrastructure Board. Emery earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering with first-class honors from the University of Nottingham.
