Laurel Beatty, PMP

Laurel Beatty, PMP, has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Laurel is currently working as a Project Manager at Advent since 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Project Manager at Animax Designs, Inc. from 2019 to 2023, where they also held positions as an Associate Project Manager and Project Coordinator. During their time at Animax Designs, Laurel originated and implemented a project charter template, optimized the order documentation system, and created and maintained production schedules.

Laurel also worked as an Advisory Council Member at Carnegie Mellon University from 2018 to 2019. Laurel served as a Project Manager at Chatham Baroque, Inc. from 2017 to 2019, where they facilitated an operational transition, designed new systems, and assisted with a financial audit.

In addition, Laurel founded and worked as the Logistical Coordinator at Tranquillo Music Spa from 2015 to 2019, where they conceptualized and managed therapeutic and immersive concert experiences. Laurel also served as a Pilot Project Leader at Sing for Hope from 2018 to 2019, running a successful community outreach program.

Laurel's earlier experiences include roles at Carnegie Mellon University Alumni Association as a Highland Ambassador from 2015 to 2018 and multiple positions at Carnegie Mellon University from 2013 to 2018, including Lead Music Admissions Ambassador, Administrative Assistant, Head Orientation Counselor, Assistant to Director, Resident Assistant, and Box Office Assistant.

Laurel also had internships at University of South Carolina as a Special Projects Intern and SAVVY Arts Venture Challenge Associate in 2017. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in project management, operational transitions, system design, and community outreach.

Laurel Beatty, PMP, holds a Master's Degree in Arts Management from the Carnegie Mellon University - Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy, which they obtained between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Music Management & Production from Carnegie Mellon University, completing their studies from 2013 to 2017. Laurel's educational journey began at Kiski Area High School, where they graduated in 2013. Additionally, they have obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in March 2022.
