John Soltys

John Soltys has been employed in the information security field since 1997. John began their career at Tokul Development, where they held the role of "Everything". John then moved to UW Medicine in 2009, where they were an Information Security Analyst. In 2012, they became a Tubbs Snowshoes Brand Ambassador at K2 Sports. John then worked as a Community Scientist at Adventure Scientists in 2013, followed by Brand Ambassador roles at Deuter USA in 2015, Woolx in 2016, and TurboPUP in 2014. In 2019, they held two roles, Brand Ambassador at Fido Pro and Information Security Program Manager at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance. John is currently employed at Fred Hutch, where they are an Information Security Manager - GRC.

John Soltys' education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics from the University of Washington, which they earned between 1991 and 1996. John attended Woodinville High School from 1988 to 1991, and they have also attended Leadership Eastside. Additionally, John has obtained three certifications from GIAC Certifications, including GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) in 2007, GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT) in 2019, and GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN) in 2011.
