SUJAY BASU

Sujay Basu is the Director of Medicinal Chemistry at Eurofins Advinus, bringing over 25 years of research experience in medicinal and synthetic organic chemistry within the drug discovery and process research fields. They lead the technical team for Discovery Chemistry Services, managing multidisciplinary drug discovery projects from early-stage to clinical development across various therapeutic areas. Sujay advanced five drug candidates into pre-clinical development and played a pivotal role in establishing an adenosine platform that received IND clearance from the USFDA. A co-inventor of Lipaglyn/Saroglitazar for treating dyslipidemia, T2D, and NASH, Sujay possesses extensive expertise in synthetic organic chemistry, IP management, and database analysis. They are currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry at Andhra University.
