Friso Kingma

Friso Kingma has extensive experience in machine learning, currently serving as the Lead for the Generative AI Platform at Adyen, where leadership includes overseeing a team of engineers in the design, deployment, and maintenance of the platform. Previously, Friso led the Anti-Money Laundering Platform, managing a team that simplified the deployment of machine learning models to combat financial crime. Early contributions to Adyen included developing the first Anti-Money Laundering system using anomaly detection techniques. Prior to Adyen, Friso engaged in research at UCL focusing on memory-efficient generative models and at UC Berkeley on deep unsupervised learning. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Econometrics from Erasmus School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Applied Mathematics from Delft University of Technology.
