Cameron Berg

Cameron Berg is a highly skilled research scientist with a robust background in machine learning and cognitive science. Currently at AE Studio since September 2023, Cameron leads a research agenda that explores subjective experience markers in machine learning systems, while also conducting extensive surveys to identify key gaps in alignment research across over 25 organizations. Prior experience includes a role as a data scientist at Truity, where Cameron developed innovative LLM-powered systems, including a personality coach and a Global Personality Atlas analyzing user data from over 180 countries. Cameron's tenure at Meta as an AI resident involved creating state-of-the-art learning frameworks for reinforcement learning, and earlier roles at prestigious institutions like Yale and Stanford focused on the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and machine learning. Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Yale University.
