Matthew Fineout

Matthew Fineout is an accomplished architectural professional currently serving as the Architectural Director at AE7 since January 2023, previously holding the position of Principal at the same firm from 2013 to 2017. As the founder of Smart Architecture, established in 2009, Matthew offers expertise in advanced geometries and constructibility analyses, assisting various stakeholders in the architecture and construction industries. Prior experience includes serving as Studio Director at Burt Hill, directing the One Za'abeel project, and as Principal & Partner at EDGE studio, where projects like the award-winning Pittsburgh Gateway Subway Station were developed. Matthew's early career included significant contributions as a Senior Associate at Gehry Partners, LLP, participating in landmark projects such as the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao. Matthew holds a Master of Architecture from SCI-Arc and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of Michigan.
