Fredrick Kiio is a champion of private sector investments focused on unlocking economic transformation for smallholder farmers in Africa. With nearly 18 years of experience in telecommunications, AgriTech innovation, and agribusiness development, Fredrick has successfully led initiatives such as Safaricom’s AgriTech business, engaging over 1.4 million farmers. Currently, as the Head of Agribusiness Programs at the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund (AECF), Fredrick leads a dedicated team to design and support innovative commercial agribusiness solutions across several African countries. Fredrick holds a Master’s degree in Agricultural Business and Management from Strathmore Business School and is pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Nairobi.
