Susan Situma is currently the Director of Programs, Advisory, Gender and Impact at The AECF, focusing on sustainable SME development. Previously, Susan served as Vice President and Head of SME Banking at Absa Bank Kenya, and held leadership roles at Barclays Bank Kenya Limited, KCB Bank, and NIC Bank, where they specialized in agribusiness and corporate relationship management. With over a decade of experience supporting SMEs in Africa, Susan has been instrumental in launching initiatives like the Absa Inspire Me conference. They recently completed a course on Leading Sustainable Business Transformation at IMD Business School and have received multiple accolades for inclusive leadership, including recognition as a positive role model in the financial services sector at the 2023 Accenture East Africa Business Awards. Susan is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the United States International University.
