Alexander Berta has extensive work experience starting in 2009 as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy, where they underwent training and certification for nuclear reactor operations and submarine tactical employment. Alexander later served as a Technical Program Manager, overseeing maintenance and operation of critical systems on a ballistic missile submarine. Alexander then progressed to roles of increasing responsibility, including Director of Engineering and High-Risk Training, Combat Systems/Engineering Department Director, and Department Director/Engineer Officer for the PCU IDAHO project. In these positions, they demonstrated strategic planning, leadership, and collaboration skills, achieving on-time delivery, cost reduction, and successful completion of milestones. Most recently, they joined Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. as a Principal Gas Turbine Engineer.
Alexander Berta earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2009. Alexander then pursued a Masters of Engineering Management degree in Engineering/Industrial Management at Old Dominion University from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their formal education, Alexander has obtained several certifications, including one in Project Management Foundations and another in Naval Nuclear Engineer Officer.
