Adriaan W.

Adriaan W. is an experienced sustainability and decarbonisation expert currently serving as the Associate Director and ANZ Decarbonisation Technical Practice Lead at AECOM since July 2017. Adriaan leads the ANZ Decarbonisation Centre of Excellence and the Brisbane Sustainability practice, focusing on delivering sustainability services and driving sustainable design across complex projects. With a background in building physics and sustainable economics, Adriaan has also held key roles such as the former ANZ Sustainability Practice Leader and technical advisory positions with the Green Building Council of Australia. Adriaan's career includes positions at Umow Lai and multiple roles at AECOM, contributing to a strong foundation in ecological sustainable design and environmental rating schemes. Adriaan holds a Master of Business Economics, a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical and Space Engineering, all from The University of Queensland.
