Alexander Varas has over 50 years of experience in engineering planning, design, construction management, and start-up operation of large water and wastewater treatment plants and below-ground infrastructure projects. As Project Manager, they led significant projects, including Indianapolis' Deep Rock Tunnel Connector Project and the Pump Station. Additionally, Varas served as Project Director for the Water Works Park Water Treatment Plant and the Conner Creek CSO facility in Detroit. Currently, they are AECOM's Design Coordinator for the Pawtucket RI CSO Tunnel project. Alexander Varas holds a Bachelor of Engineering from Manhattan College and a Master of Science in Engineering from New York University.
