Alistair Moat

Alistair Moat is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Starting a career as a Senior Engineer at Halcrow from July 1989 to February 1996, Alistair progressed to roles including Principal Engineer at EQE International and ABS Consulting, where duties included Head of Risk and Engineering and Consulting Services Manager in the Middle East. From November 2005 to September 2008, Alistair served as Service Group Manager for Building Structures at GHD, before becoming a Principal Engineer at AMEC. Alistair advanced to Associate Director at Atkins, supporting major infrastructure projects in the UK, before taking on the role of Technical Director at AECOM in April 2025. In addition, Alistair founded Moat Engineering Consulting Limited, delivering advanced engineering and risk management solutions. Alistair holds a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Glasgow University, earned between 1984 and 1989.
