Anthony Mader

Anthony Mader, PhD, is a Senior Environmental Scientist at AECOM, bringing a wealth of experience from the mining, petrochemical, agriculture, and civil construction industries. Their PhD research focused on phytoremediation, particularly the use of plants to recover critical metals from contaminated land and wastewater. With a strong commitment to interdisciplinary research, Anthony has published several papers and facilitated numerous environmental and water use authorizations across multiple South African provinces. They hold a Bachelor of Science and a BSc Honours with Distinction from the University of the Witwatersrand, and their accolades include awards from the National Research Foundation and the Christopher Cresswell prize.
