Austin Bell

Austin Bell, PE, is currently the NC Traffic and ITS Department Manager at AECOM, a position held since 2024, following their role as the NC Traffic and ITS Deputy Department Manager from 2020 to 2024. They have significant experience in traffic engineering, having worked on various projects including safety reports for NCDOT and intersection analyses throughout North Carolina. Austin has also held positions at multiple organizations, including as a Traffic Group Manager at Alfred Benesch & Company and as an Engineering Intern at several firms. They earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University between 2007 and 2013.
