Barry Colford is a licensed Professional Engineer in NY, PA, NJ, and DE, as well as a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers in the UK. With over 40 years of experience specializing in the design, inspection, preservation, and maintenance of bridges, Barry currently leads AECOM's North American Complex Bridge Preservation Practice and Bridge Assessment Group. Previously, Barry served as the Chief Engineer and Bridgemaster of the Forth Road Bridge in Scotland from 2008 to 2015, overseeing significant maintenance programs and capital works. Barry began their career as an Assistant Engineer at Jacobs Babtie, later worked at Saudi Aramco, and held the position of Assistant Principal Engineer at Strathclyde Regional Council before advancing to leadership roles in the bridge engineering field.
