Barry O'Connor

Barry O'Connor, P.Eng. is an experienced civil engineer and project manager with a strong background in alternative delivery and civil design. Currently serving as Project Manager - Alternative Delivery at AECOM, Barry oversees the detail design for the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project, acting as the Civil Delivery Lead for the Canadian Port of Entry. Previously, Barry held the position of Civil Engineer at ARUP Canada Inc, where responsibilities included leading the civil design for the Confederation Line Extension Project in Ottawa. Additional experience includes roles as a Municipal Designer at WSP in Canada, Civil Engineer in Training at Quartek Group Inc., and various engineering positions in Ireland, showcasing a comprehensive skill set in civil engineering, project management, and technical design. Barry holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Civil Engineering from the Institute of Technology, Carlow and additional engineering degrees from Munster Technological University.
